Expertise

Justine McDermott - Registered Psychologist & Principal Consultant

With over 35 years spanning C-suite corporate leadership, organisational consulting, and clinical practice, Justine brings a rare combination of Boardroom credibility and  expertise to workplace psychological safety, organisational culture and strategic change programs.

Justine is a registered psychologist, a Fellow of the College of Organisational Psychology and the founder of Workplace Psych Safety - a specialist practice that sits at the  intersection of psychosocial risk consulting and worker's compensation psychology. She works with organisations across the nation to address the systemic conditions that drive psychosocial injury, while also providing evidence-based clinical services to workers navigating the compensation system.

Her consulting philosophy is grounded in the belief that humane, well designed workplaces are also high performing ones - and that genuine psychological safety requires structural change, not just awareness training.

Justine's clinical work is informed by the latest research  in institutional betrayal, moral injury, and trauma-informed practice. She is experienced in WHS legislative frameworks, continuous improvement frameworks,  mediation, executive coaching and facilitation.
